Domo Factor

Hey guys,
I’ve noticed that domofactor has been lacking some anime goodness so I thought i’d fill in that empty gap before it turns into a hollow.^_^

Here’s my review on a new show I picked up called Guilty Crown.

Plot- After the outbreak of the unidentified virus “Lost Christmas” in 2029, Japan has been under the control of a multi-nation organization called GHQ. Ohma Shu is a 17 year old boy who has a psychic power in his right hand. He can use the power “Ability of King” to extract tools or weapons from his friends. He has been avoiding making trouble for others but his life changes when he meets a girl Yuzuriha Inori, a member of a resistance guerrilla group called “Funeral Parlour”, whose members pilot mecha weapons to fight against the government.

Review- Lemme start of by saying this show is a slow one. It’s a bit hard to get into at first since nothing seems all that interesting. I kinda just continued to watch it since I had nothing else to watch that day. However, once you get into it, all the questions marks start to make you curious and go deeper into the story.

The characters I noticed are a bit cliche, as is the genre, but the idea of the show is something new. Another thing I did notice in the show is that the main character Shu, tends to bring out somebody’s void every episode.

Overall, this show I think is a good stop gap between seasons if you’ve got nothing else better to watch. It’s not a bad show at all, but I wouldn’t go ranting and raving about it. Although I will give it props for having a really good Opening.^_^
