Aka-chan’s interior mod: Nardi

こにちわ everyone! げんきですか?

Mailman-san brought me a new toy~

Nardi

So a couple of weeks ago while randomly roaming ebay for things, I stumbled on my new interior accessory, an old Nardi Flat bottom steering wheel, for only $50 bucks! Usually these run $250 – $300 new, so I’m pretty happy to have scored it.

The first two pictures are right after taking it out of the package. It’s a little bit worn from use and from being in the sun, but after cleaning it up and some polish, I managed to make the leather a lot darker and cleaner looking.

What I really like though, is how it came with the cruise control accessories built into the horn button so that I can retain nmy cruise control more easily when I swap wheels.

Only downside to this wheel is that it has a small part where the leather is starting to separate so I’ll probably fix that bit. I also plan on maybe modifying the stock steering wheel cover to go over this wheel to maybe try and make it look more OEM, but I’ll see how that turns out lol.

That’s epic! I wish I had this back when I had Cruise Control on my 1st S13. lol Where did you find that button+wheel at? Can’t wait to see how it looks with some interior pics.

Found it on ebay while searching for nardi subaru wheels lol.

If I can modify my stock steering wheel cover to fit over the wheel and make it look decent I might ditch this button setup.

Btw what hub setup do you recommend? I’ve never played with aftermarket steering wheels lol. I was thinking about going with a Splash short hub cause I want the wheel to stay the same distance as stock.

Depends if you are racing or cruising. Racing, closer is better so your arms are about 60-90 degress when driving.

Cruising who cares. Hubs I would go with Bell short hub. Currently I run a standard hub with a standard quick release.
